CDD-073 18 Purchase and Redevelopment of Murzyn-Anderson Property

BID NOTICE OF SALE OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF SCHAUMBURG AND AN INVITATION TO BID THEREON PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Schaumburg will receive (until February 13, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.) sealed bids for the purchase and redevelopment, under successful bid, of the fee simple interest in the following real property: A 55-acre property located in the far southwestern portion of the Village of Schaumburg, which has a common address of 1001 W. Irving Park Road and the following PIN’s: 07-32-402-003 and 07-32-404-003. The property is zoned Agricultural, but the Village’s Comprehensive Plan calls for it to be rezoned to M-1 Manufacturing. Supplemental documentation including bid specifications, site photos, property feasibility study, full legal descriptions, and other information related to the site is available at Village Hall or by contacting Kevin Leighty Bids for the purchase and redevelopment of the interest in the above described property are hereby invited and will be received by the Village Purchasing Division at 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg, Illinois, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and until 5:00 p.m. on the date above for the opening of bids. Said bids shall be addressed to President and Board of Trustees, Village of Schaumburg, c/o Purchasing Division, 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg, Illinois 60193. The sealed bids shall bear the legend "Purchase and Redevelopment of Murzyn-Anderson property" and the name and address of the bidder. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees at the Village of Schaumburg at 7:00 p.m. on February 13, 2018. A contract may be awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is found to be in the best interests of the Village of Schaumburg. A check in the amount of $50,000 of earnest money will be required as a deposit for any party submitting a bid for the project. Only the winning bidder’s deposit will be cashed to move forward with the purchase and all other deposit payments will be returned to the submitters. The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The President and Board of Trustees further reserve the right to review and study any and all bids and make a contract award within 60 days after the bids have been opened and publicly read.
