Important Recall Notices

In 2014, over 6 million dehumidifiers were recalled due to the risk of overheating and catching fire. More than 450 fires and $25 million in damages have been linked to faulty units and it isn't known how many homeowners are still unaware of the danger. The dehumidifiers were sold under many brand names including Gree, GE, Frigidaire, Soleus Air, Kenmore, Danby and others. To see if your dehumidifier is part of the recall, visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission's website.

Kidde has recalled two models of their dual-sensor smoke alarms due to a defect that compromises the smoke alarm's ability to detect smoke. For more information about the smoke alarm models recalled, visit and click on "Product Safety Recalls."
