Inclement Weather Policy

The Schaumburg Teen Center will be closed whenever Township High School 211 and/or School District 54 is observing a weather-related school closing. As a program of the Village of Schaumburg, the Teen Center could also be closed if directed to do so by the Village Manager regarding potentially dangerous weather conditions. It should be noted that this could be the case independent of the decisions made by the local school systems.

The decision to close the Teen Center will be made for one day at a time. Parents and adolescents should check with the Village of Schaumburg and visit the links provided below to check the status of the center. The safety of our adolescent participants is the responsibility of both the parents and Teen Center personnel, but the decision to send an adolescent to the Teen Center is ultimately made by parents and their guardians.

For the safety of our participants, please visit Township High School 211 Emergency School Closing websiteSchool District 54 Cancellations, or call 847.524.3388 for confirmation of when the center is closed due to inclement weather.
